Nitewerx Has been mixing for the past 16 years, His interest in music began with early US hip hop before developing towards 90's dance music when he received his first pair of 1200's and became an avid follower of the rave scene and happy hardcore. This began with a personal love for the music that developed in to Mixing at small gigs and local parties.during this time he found a radio show on kiss hosted by paul 'trouble' anderson and so began he's love of 'house'. starting out with just a few nervous records track's his collection grew to include artist like bobbi & steve, MAW, black magic, to many to name.
At the End of the Nineties Nitewerx decided that he needed to diversify his musical interests to broaden his outlook, he began by learning to play the guitar which culminated in him forming his own band called Surfaced, The band went in to pure practice mode for a year in studios in London before leaving for the States and recording a CD in a studio in El cajon, California. Upon returning to London the band lost their Drummer and decided to split. This prompted Nitewerx to return to his dance music roots armed with a new perspective on music and found that his stint in a rock band had focused his music taste. This is reflected in his current sets which along with his old skool dance style, show influences of guitar based dance.
This brings us up to 2003 when his love for mixing was really rekindled, After a period experiencing what guitar music had to offer he ventured to New York to pick up fresh material and delve back into the music he had loved. This prompted him to return to mixing with US house music, Kevin Yost, Chris lum and Glen underground being his major influences at this time before integrating the likes of Guidance recordings, naked music recordings out of New York and Glasgow underground to develop his current sound.
